The thriving market town of Tiverton is set amidst the beautiful mid-Devon countryside, yet is in easy driving distance of both the North and South coasts of Devon, with their spectacular beaches and cliff top walks. The Exmoor National Park is just a short drive away, where the fabulous scenery and a whole host of outdoor pursuits can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Despite the rural location, fast road links to Taunton, Exeter, Barnstaple and beyond make Tiverton an ideal location for commuting further afield. Intercity rail links to London Paddington are available from nearby Tiverton Parkway station and from Taunton.

Schooling facilities in Tiverton are excellent, with a wide choice of primary schools, a well regarded secondary school, a technical college and Blundell’s school all situated within walking distance of Devonshire Rise.

Recent enhancements to Tiverton town centre include a new M&S Simply Food, two large supermarkets and a state of the art leisure centre with swimming pools and gym. There has also been a superb refurbishment of the historic pannier market, where a regular Farmer’s Market is held and there is also a variety of stalls offering a wide range of goods and locally sourced food.

Location & Directions

From the A361 take the first exit to Tiverton. At the slip road roundabout take the first exit, then straight across at the next roundabout. At the third roundabout take the third exit and follow road for about 0.5km, turning left into Old Road. At a small roundabout, take the first exit and continue up the hill, passing the entrance to the Grand Western Canal on the left. Further up the hill, Devonshire Rise is on the right hand side. The Sales Cabin can be found by following the road round to the left and then turn left at the T-junction.
